Emergency Service

CSBG Emergency Services provides temporary assistance to eligible individuals and families who are experiencing a financial crisis or unexpected hardship. The program is designed to help stabilize households, prevent homelessness, and address immediate needs while connecting participants with additional resources and long-term solutions through case management.

Emergency assistance may include:

*Utility assistance to prevent disconnection or restore service.
*Rental assistance to prevent eviction or homelessness.
*Emergency lodging when no safe housing options are available.
*Assistance with essential household needs during a verified crisis.
*Referrals to community resources and partner agencies for additional support.

In addition to financial assistance, CSBG staff work one-on-one with participants to identify barriers, develop individualized goals, and connect them with programs that promote long-term self-sufficiency, such as employment services, budgeting education, housing resources, and other supportive services.

Eligibility is based on household income, available funding, program guidelines, and verification of the emergency need.

Our Goal:
To help individuals and families overcome immediate crises while providing the tools, resources, and support needed to achieve greater stability and self-sufficiency.
