CAPNEMO Attends NCAF Fly-In Day in D.C.

This past week, CAPNEMO staff participated in the National Community Action Fly-In Day, an important event that provided agencies the chance to engage directly with senators and representatives in Washington, D.C. During the event, CAPNEMO met with Rep. Eric Schmitt, spoke with staff from Sen. Josh Hawley’s office, and gained a deeper understanding of the pivotal role Congress and the Senate play in supporting the agency’s work.

The staff also had the privilege of hearing from current and former members of Congress and networking with other Community Action agencies from across the country. Together, they advocated for the needs of their communities.

Building these vital relationships with elected officials helps ensure that Community Action continues to be a powerful force for change at local, state, and national levels, addressing the pressing challenges faced by their constituents.
