Pantry for Adair County Donates to CAPNEMO

The Pantry for Adair County (PAC) recently donates Emergency Food Bags to CAPNEMO for any clients that may be in need of emergency food while obtaining other services from us. We are extremely grateful for this strong partnership and we are proud to serve alongside them in our communities!

In a social media release, the Pantry for Adair County wrote:

"Stronger Together: CAPNEMO
I have been learning about Community Action Partnership of Northeast Missouri and we have been finding ways that the pantry can work with them to make our community stronger. I want to highlight a couple ways we are partnering with CAPNEMO.
1 - Emergency Food Bags: At the pantry we do not consider ourselves an emergency program because we are not on-call around the clock; however we do know that there are people in our community who sometimes need food when we are not sharing food out of the PAC. In order to help our friends at CAPNEMO help our community in between our distributions, we are providing them with Emergency Food Bags. These small food bags contain foods that can be consumed without a kitchen or preparation. They are shelf stable and nutritious. The attached photo features myself with Andrea Thurman the last time we dropped off emergency food bags.
2 - Household and Personal Care Items: At the PAC we focus on food, but at CAPNEMO they focus on housing, among other basic needs. To maintain our focus on food, we often share non-food items that we receive from The Food Bank of Central and Northeast Missouri with CAPNEMO . By giving them quantities of toilet paper, disinfectant spray, or trash bags, these items can go directly to those most in need because CAPNEMO specializes in helping people with household issues.
I am grateful for the people at CAPNEMO and that we can work together, sharing resources to make sure we are being good stewards of what we are given."
