  • Weatherization Retrofit Installer

    The Retrofit Installer Technician is responsible for a variety of activities to weatherize homes and make them more energy efficient. Duties include but are not limited to; repairing windows, installing and sealing air ducts, installing insulation in attics/walls/basements, combustion air openings, or ventilation openings, installing storm windows and storm doors, installing weather stripping, and performing site clean-up. Candidates must have basic carpentry skills.

    EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Three years of construction experience and/or an equivalent combination of education is preferred.
    Must have a valid driver’s license, have reliable transportation, and meet Missouri automobile liability minimum requirements. Must have or be able to obtain the following within twelve months of hire date: Lead Renovator, Mold Safety, CPR, OSHA 30, OSHA Confined Space, NEAT/MHEA energy modeling, & Retrofit Installer Technician. Must have or be able to obtain the following within eighteen months after hire date: Energy Auditor & Quality Control Inspector. Appropriate measures will be provided by CAPNEMO to obtain the aforementioned certifications.

    Must pass a Child and Elder Care Worker screening. Participate in drug and alcohol screenings. Must maintain current First Aid and CPR certification. 

    This is a full-time, Monday-Thusday position.

  • Maintenance Technician

    CAPNEMO is recruiting candidates for a maintenance technician.
    The Maintenance Technician will provide daily maintenance and repairs of the physical structures of buildings and grounds for all facilities. The essential duties and responsibilities include providing center-wide facility maintenance and repair to include but are not limited to, minor carpentry, drywall repair, painting, plumbing, and electrical. Performs yard work, snow removal, and cleaning work as required.  Performs all other duties as requested relating to maintenance, repair, and housekeeping.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION:
    Associate degree (AA or AAS) in a related field plus three years of related experience.
    5 years of technical experience with most types of repairs including carpentry, painting, minor plumbing, and/or electrical repair.
    OR any combination of education (certifications, etc.)  and technical experience to equal five years of experience. 

    Must pass a Child and Elder Care Worker screening, provide proof of a yearly physical exam and TB test, and participate in all required training. Participate in drug and alcohol screenings. Must maintain current First Aid and CPR certification. Must maintain a valid Class "E" driver's license, have reliable transportation, and meet Missouri automobile liability minimum requirements.

    This is a full-time position.

  • Head Start Teacher

    The CAPNEMO Head Start Program announces a vacancy for a Teacher at our Kirksville site. This is a full-time position with benefits, including retirement.
    The Teacher instructs children in activities designed to promote social-emotional, physical, and intellectual growth needed for primary school in preschool, daycare center, or other child development facilities.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include planning daily schedule and weekly plans, supporting the programs' goals of the learning environment, assessment and individualization, health and safety, parent/family involvement, record keeping, and volunteers and community involvement (other duties may be assigned).

    Education/Experience: At least one of the following: 1) an associate, baccalaureate, or advanced degree in early childhood education, 2) an associate, baccalaureate, or advanced degree in a field related to early childhood education and coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education (15 credit hours) with experience teaching preschool-age children; 3) a baccalaureate or advanced degree in any field and coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education with experience teaching preschool-age children.
