The Teacher instructs children in activities designed to promote social-emotional, physical, and intellectual growth needed for primary school in preschool, day care center, or other child development facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include planning daily schedule and weekly plan, supporting the programs goals of the learning environment, assessment and individualization, health and safety, parent/family involvement, record keeping, and volunteers and community involvement (other duties may be assigned).
Education/experience: At least one of the following: 1) an associate, baccalaureate or advanced degree in early childhood education, 2) an associate, baccalaureate or advanced degree in a field related to early childhood education and coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education (15 credit hours) with experience teaching preschool-age children; 3) a baccalaureate or advanced degree in any field and coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education with experience teaching preschool-age children.
Must pass a Child and Elder Care Worker screening, provide proof of a yearly physical exam and TB test, and participate in all required training. The cook is responsible for planning and organizing while purchasing, preparing, dating, labeling and storing foods in the assigned center. Being able to operate and manage the kitchen, and ensuring a proper flow of tasks assigned. Maintain proper sanitation and proper professionalism at all times.
