  • Part-time Bus Driver for Edina Head Start Location

    Drive bus to safely transport children on specified routes to and from their homes and the Head Start center and to group activities. The employee must be able to perform each essential duty adequately per the performance evaluation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must obtain and maintain at a minimum a valid Class “C” Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with endorsements appropriate for driving a 22 passenger school bus within 90 days of hire. Must have an acceptable National Driver Record and participate in/pass random drug and alcohol testing. Must pass a Child and Elder Care Worker screening and Fingerprint screening.   • Service Coordinator

    The Service Coordinator (SC) serves as the agency focal point for individuals, families, and school district personnel seeking to participate in agency special projects. The SC also assists individuals, families, and school district personnel in assessing needs and enrolling in appropriate agency special projects. Additionally, the SC is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing services and community initiatives designed to help low-income individuals and families meet emergent needs and acquire knowledge, skills, and assets leading to greater self-sufficiency and effective interaction with families and the community. Associates’ degree or equivalent from a two-year college in education, business, social service or a related field that meets funding source requirements, preferred or equivalent experience. Must pass a Child and Elder Care Worker screening and participate in all required training.   • Housing Director

    The Housing Director’s role entails overseeing the creation and upkeep of CAPNEMO Rental Production, encompassing a range of duties involving land acquisition, housing project advancement and administrative functions. Baccalaureate or advanced degree in a field related to social service, community development, communications or education.  Two years related experience and/or training preferred. This position is located in our Central Office and is a 4 day work week.     The CAPNEMO Head Start Program announces a vacancy for a Center Aide in our Kirksville Head Start center. This is a part time position with benefits, including retirement. The Center Aide serves as an assistant in any area of the Head Start Center, including but not limited to, custodial duties, assisting in a classroom, assisting kitchen staff in serving meals/snacks or washing dishes. Additional duties may be assigned.

    CAPNEMO Head Start Program announces a vacancy for a Cook at our EHS Pfeiffer Street site. This is a part time position.

    The cook aide is responsible for planning and organizing while purchasing, preparing, dating, labeling and storing foods in the assigned center. Being able to operate and manage the kitchen, and ensuring a proper flow of tasks assigned. Maintain proper sanitation and proper professionalism at all times. 

    A minimum of a high school diploma or GED required. Must have knowledge of acceptable food storage, food prep and food service practices. Must pass a background check, provide yearly physical exam/TB test, participate in regular trainings and maintain a valid driver's license.

  • Pfeiffer Street Early Head Start Teacher

    Pfeiffer Street Early Head Start Center is seeking a fun, responsible individual to provide care and educational activities to children birth to 36-months old. A qualified applicant will have at a minimum a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential in infant/toddler or an AA or better degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field).
