CAPNEMO Celebrates 60 Years of Community Action at National Conference in Seattle

CAPNEMO recently attended the National Community Action Conference in Seattle, marking the 60th anniversary of the Community Action movement. This milestone event provided an invaluable opportunity for CAPNEMO’s team to engage in professional development, participate in insightful sessions, and network with other agencies from across the country.

The conference allowed CAPNEMO staff to explore new strategies for driving meaningful community change and fighting poverty. By sharing and learning from the best practices of agencies nationwide, CAPNEMO deepened its commitment to supporting the local community and strengthening its programs.

“We are excited to bring back fresh ideas and renewed inspiration to better serve the families of northeast Missouri,” said Lauren Platz, Exec. Support Specialist. “This anniversary was a powerful reminder of how far we’ve come and the continued importance of Community Action in addressing poverty and empowering individuals.”

As CAPNEMO celebrates its 60 years of service, the knowledge and connections gained at the conference will further enhance its efforts to create lasting, positive change in the communities it serves.
