State Rep Visits CAPNEMO EHS Center
On October 15, CAPNEMO's Pfeiffer Ave. EHS Center in Kirksville hosted State Representative Danny Busick (R-03) for a tour led by Crystal Bass, our Pfeiffer Center Supervisor and Early Care and Education Fellow with Kids Win Missouri. The visit allowed Rep. Busick to observe classroom activities, speak with CAPNEMO Executive Director Traci Lawrence and Head Start Director Jenn Vaughn, and better understand the impact of policy on educators, providers, and families. The visit aimed to encourage legislators to prioritize early childhood education, which is facing challenges due to underpaid educators and limited access to affordable, high-quality care.
